My footwell carpet fabric trim is worn and shoddy yet I've been too lazy to pull the carpet, let alone try to find someone to sew new trim on. I was at the hardware store and came across this product:
It's an adhesive trim for rug runners and comes in charcoal and brown.
I installed the passenger side by pulling the carpet but didn't even need to do that on the driver's side.
It may or may not hold but either way for $7 and a few minutes of effort it's a cheap solution.
