A Pillar Trim repair
#1

Hi all,  My cabriolet A pillar interior trim has warped due to sun.   I read that some have repaired this by sandwiching it between 2x4's and using a heat gun to heat up and straighten them.  If anyone else has done this I would appreciate a description of what was done otherwise I'll do what I just wrote and see what happens.   The picture below is stolen from a facebook post someone else put up. [Image: 325788474_601535455047351_62852203204058...e=63DE7F03]

I have the same problem. Like you, I was thinking of heating it up, then clamping between a 2 pieces of angle iron (wood would probably do).  Then I was thinking of gluing a  1" wide strip of 1/8" aluminum to the inside that would hopefully keep it straight. Haven't figured out what type of glue to use but there are some extraordinary epoxies available. Probably have to go to a specialty shop (ie not your average hardware store). Will post if I get this sorted out.
