Anyone recently replace a broken sunroof latch?

Not recently, but I had to rebuild an entire unit when I got my car. It had a Saratoga roof in it, and I wanted a factory. Couldn't stand the noise.

Your sunroof has a latch???



I did the gear replacement using clarks garage info. Good pics and info.

Both of the 968's have two latches in the front. The gear mechanism is in the back. I was able to get the parts but was unable to get the pin back in the part and the latch. Amazingly enough the local mechanic not only replaced both latches but didn't charge me. silly me thinking I could actually repair something!

I've fixed several of the latches in my car. I've had to use a small driver and hammer to re-install the pin in the new latch. I've learned that I have to be careful when replacing the sunroof to not force the latches so they won't break. Don't force them.
