Any recommendations on a wheel to replace my stock wheel?

You mean steering wheel? Pete recommended the 350 mm suede Momo Model 78 in 350 mm diameter, with a Technik (sp?) quick release, and then the hub adapter. He said this combination sets the wheel the same distance from the dash as stock, because the stock wheel is very deeply dished. I'm sure this is a great recommendation, but I've been balking because of the price, which is about $500 for all three pieces. A lot of money for something that won't directly make the car go faster, but one of these days I'll take the plunge.

Cloud, which adapter? The one for the 944/924?

Not sure - when I was looking, I went to Momo's site and thought I found one for the 968, but maybe it is the 944. I haven't bought it, so maybe someone who has bought a racing-style wheel can chime in.

Silvy.

That's a beautiful wheel - I especially like the thick rim - but I think Rap is looking for a racing-type wheel.

Brian, is that steering wheel a smaller diameter than the OE one, and does it need any kind of adapter ? Last, which model Porsche came with that ?

I keep going back and forth trying to decide if I want to change the wheel , but if it's an easy "plug and play" maybe I'll buy one and alternate every six months or so , just for a change of interior scenery :-)

Is that a proper OEM wheel because the leather looks grey instead of black which looks much better ( it might be the photo), over here they are about £460 new (ouch) which is a lot in dollar terms. Look at Douglas Valley breakers in England and also 911wood.com in Ireland, the guys name is Ciaran, you might pick up a good second hand one. Remember Rap there is no airbag!

Sorry its Woods911.com.

I recall a three spoke OE Porsche ( again, I don't remember which model ) wheel with airbag someone here installed in their 968 and it was in classic grey, also not cheap but I'm pretty sure he indicated the adapters and work needed to retrofit it was a PITA. I don't mind the cost as much , just want one to fit without ANY adjustments whatsoever . I think if I can find a new one for under $ 1,000 or one in excellent condition for $ 500-$600, I'd definitely be interested

The wheel is model 930S. It is from AJ-USA, INC. Wheel is part AJR-348 082, The adapter is part AJR 347 089 00. The crest is optional, but I think it makes the wheel.

In 2005, everything was $379. No airbag.Very easy to do.

It is the same dia. as stock. It is black, just a bad picture.

I bought a Wimbledon Green M030 Coupe last week and the PO installed a Momo Competition steering wheel with a quick release and spacer. I love this wheel, and the spacer is great for me because I have long legs, so not reaching for the wheel. Although he could not figure out how to get the horn working, so any suggestions about that would be appreciated.

I would post a photo but can't find my "modification photos" under "my media".
