Sometimes I think they look ok, other times I think "yikes" <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Same here! It all depends on the color, and the personality of the driver. To me, same color wheels scream, "look at me!"

I agree, it depends on the car and the color, But I've noticed that this is becoming a more popular option as I've seen a few 997s with painted wheels, what is really wild are the black painted wheels on a bright colored car like speed yellow.

I'm a traditionalist, so I prefer a silver finish whether the wheels are steel or alloy. My 912E has the original Fuchs wheels with the black finish (in the background, not on the spokes), and I think the car would look better with an all-silver wheel - especially since the car is brown.

I painted my 18" 993 twist wheels in my polar silver body color. The slight change in silvers does not detract from these awesome wheels. I also changed the front emblem to a chrome one instead of gold, replaced the front grill in silver, painted the 2 lower grills in silver and removed the front bumperettes.

I prefer it to stock, IMHO

You be the judge.

Body colored wheels is a look that I've grown into.

The Speed Yellow 968 with body colored wheels is mine.

I have a set of 964 RS magnesium wheels in speed yellow that I plan on putting on the car.

Keep in mind, the body colored wheels are a Genuine Porsche option which came standard on the 1994 964 Speedster.

I have a 1994 Speedster in Guards Red that came with 17" Guards Red wheels. Check it out:

oops!

still not right, hmmm, here it is:

I like them a lot better if the rims are polished or silver. Full body color depends on the car from my chair. For example, I like the white on white of the 968 above, but not a big fan of red on red or yellow on yellow.
