Interesting question. I would opt to keep the originals if there are no reasons to do otherwise. If there is an alternate supplier, Waylander will know.
Martin, are you out there?

I would let the machine shop make the decision as to if replacements are needed. Just because of the mileage doesn't mean they are done. Lots of luck.

I would run a leak down/compression test and let that guide my course. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I would not replace the Valves with cheaper aftermarket ones, I have seen these engines at 200k and the valves are still within spec, the guides are dead but easy to replace, and 130,000 miles is just about run in, mine is at 155K and no head gasket done or any other major engine work.
Spending huge amounts of money on the engine internals will not make much difference when you come to sell the car on, you can count it as money lost
having the crap cleaned out of the inlet manifold and the valve guides replaced and the seats 3 angle cut will bring back all the BHP thats gone walkies.
In the UK I would suggest this work if done by a garage (shop) will come to about £3K.
A set of genuine valves will cost you
Exhaust £880
Inlet £800
If you were really going to town then a new set of valve springs would be a good idea too
Springs £400
If you want more BHP, the the law of deminishing returns is powerfull
Plus the gaskets and all sorts of other bits that break, and labour maybe some small change out of £4000
and that for just about 40BHP.
Just to add, If you are going to do this I would reccomend EMC Motorsport In Birmingham, possibly the best 968 place in the UK
