Ultra rare 968 Options
#1

I was at Limerock raceway and notice a beautiful Iris blue 968 coupe. All of you know that I am building the coupe registry, so I had to talk with the owner. He was nice enough to let me take a pic of the option code sticker. Check out the last 3 codes. .. they don't come up in any code decoder. This car had full leather, and, get this, PORSCHE CRESTS PRESSED INTO THE HEAD REST AREA OF THE FRONT SEATS.

Has anyone seen this on a 968?

Ron,

Do you have a coupe? If so, can you send me your info to put into the registry?

What option code is the crest pressed into the seat?

The owner did have the window sticker. The window sticker does not indicate actual option code numbers, just descriptions. He had a special deviating interior color scheme, full leather and the crests in the seats. I just don't know which of the last 3 codes are for which...

yes, option Z53 and had a cost of only a $103 when new. I've also seen it on a 968.

My exGF's cab has them -- I'll see if I can dig up any photos of the car when I get home.

No, I have a cab. I took a pix of the original window sticker. The option for the head restraint with the crest was $103.00, heated seats were $289.00 each seat, leather were $1,949.00 plus an additional $443.00 for supple leather seats (see attached sticker).

yeah, I thought I had mentioned it to you. Anyways, Im thinking about parting with the seats and doing something similar to yours. I wonder how much I can get for them. Any interest in the community, send me a pm..

I'd love to see pictures of them and might be iterested. Did I read the sticker correctly that they are Midnight/Grey seats?

Yes, the official color are midnight grey. I call them linen grey. I will take pix as soon as my son gets the car back to me. He is home from school and getting re-acquainted with the car...
