tweeter issue
#1

I noticed while I was fixing my driver side window that the tweeter connection was broken. There are two wires to the tweeter and one was broken in half so I'll need a new one or try to solder the old one. My lower speakers also do not work, but wiring looks fine. Anyone know whether a break in the tweeter wire will that cause the lower speakers to also not work. Thanks

I don't now the set up on our cars..but...the two speakers could have a common earth wire, which might explain both units being down. Try to repair the wire carefully and then have a listen to check result. If all else fails just hum a tune to yourself!

Tweeter is not related to the lower speaker as far as a broken wire goes. I would check the lower connector that passes through the plastic insert on the door as this is where the tweeter and speaker meet the crossover cap.
