I realise that this is a real "Newbie" question, and I'm almost embarrassed to ask, but............ how do you re-set the trip meter? I don't see any buttons.

Hi Michael,

The trip odometer reset button is disguised as one of the vent fins just next to the gauge cluster

Odometer gears in these cars are prone to failure. To be on the safe side do not reset the trip ODO while the car is moving

Bear in mind the button does not always align with the switch that resets the tripometer (it's an electric reset, not manual). So, if you press the hidden button and nothing happens, it may be nothing more than an alignment problem.

Don't feel bad, you are not alone.  When I bought my '93 Cab, I flew down to Southern California to pick it up and drive it back to the Bay Area.  I wanted to zero out the trip meter so I could keep track of the mileage.  I sat there for at least 20 minutes trying to figure out how to do it.  Went nutz, but couldn't find the re-set.  Finally got out my iPad and cruised google.   Tricky little devil.
