My 968 Tipo makes a knocking noise that comes with a sharp thud thud thud when I accelerate hard around corners at low speeds(seems to come from rear of car). Also from takeoff when turning??? Any ideas???

I agree, if you crawl under the back with a large screw driver or a pry bar you can probably identify which is the loose joint. They can be replaced individually, but if one is wearing out, probably the others will be soon as well. Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Since i am dutch my english is not fantastic, sorry for that



My 968 1992 75000 km has a sticking problem concerning tiptronic system, i have already invested a lot of money with porsche specialist and dealer but still problem exist and therefore i ask your advice.



At first the kickdownfunctioning was not working properly, fluid is changed, iron rostering thing which cleans fluid ( do not know english word for this ? ) had been cleaned and also a ""computer "" which houses in the trunk of the car has been changed for another used one from a well known parts shop in Holland. Then the kickdown worked and i was happy, this car is not for daily use so in wintertime it is stored with power on the battery in a nice garage, dry not heated. Yesterday i wanted to drive it, after ca 5 km i become a red warning ""tiptronic" and the gear system is not working properly anymore and i feel really bad about that. Before i go to the dealer again ( warranty on repair, since i think this failure has to do with last repair ? ) i like to have input on this by people who have experience with this car. Since the repair i have max drove only 400 km before storing the car and those km were uneventfull
