Dear all,
Tonight I looked under the car. I don't know any more why I layed my hand on the shafts.
But I noticed that the shaft on the left side of the transmission could not move and..........
Just right yeah, The one on the right side of the transmission could move for 1 mm in and out of the differtial housing. I mean one millimeter moves the joint flange out the house and in the hous.
It could also wiglle a bit.
The question is: Normal? or will be the bearings have had there longest time?
There is no noise, whining or whatever coming from the differential.
If it is not normal could somebody tell me what kind of bearing is inside at the right side of the differential?
It is not covered in PET. Only the bearing on the left side has a part number.
The car is a 92 tiptronic.
Thanks in advance.
Ritchie.
