Never forget, a car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. You can ask any price your want. FWIW, the Silver cab in Nashville is pretty stock. The Hearst Black Book (a real world indicator of dealer wholesale and retail) for that car is $14.1 wholesale and $16.9 retail. I traded emails with them, as I was thinking about going back to Polar Silver, but not at that price.

yeah pretty nutty. These low mileage cars are priced way too high according to Excellence etc. . . you are right though it's what people are willing to pay. We'll see how long they stay on the market.
Flash I will take you up on that offer next time I'm in socal, w00t!

I’m always amazed by this...why does everyone think this car should continue to be so under-valued? What other car for the money...even at 25K brings this much driving excitement? These cars under 50K miles and well persevered should bring that and more...

Don't get me wrong; I would love to see the value of our cars increase. The reality is, you can pick up a 2001-2003 M-3 Coupe or Cab with similar mileage in the same price range.

I've always felt the 968 is the best kept secret. I also got mine at a steal of a price and agree w/ the performance and smile factors. I now want another, a low mileage cab. I dont think that the prices will ever reflect what these cars are worth unless somehow the 968 get some type of media attention. Kinda like the Supra in the fast and the Furious.
back to the OT- This one is starting to grow on me.

Rhude, I might have to agree with you on that one...The more I look at it, the better I like it. It matches my old high school colors...The Purple Hurricanes!

LOL. Yup, I knew the flame was coming.
When I 1st saw it on ebay I thought one thing PIMP mobile. Just wasn't for me. Saw it again and thought the same. But this time, w/o the hoochie mamas hanging on it, the profile w/ those rims on it makes it look stunning. Your able to get away w/ the purple because its so deep. The wire mesh in the front adds a modest contrast that also works. And then take into account the low miles and how clean the car is.
Its a bit loud and I don't like the intr being purple but Id buy it if I could tone it down w/ a dark intr.
I hope the buyer joins this forum.
when i saw it, it was on the east coast - not sure if it is the same owner or not
Pretty sure it sold. In the final days of the auction, as we were all mocking it, there were like 17 bids on the car.
When you add up the work invested, the price is even more appealing. I remember the issues discussed about 19" as well.
The Top is new.
The interior was redone with glove soft leather Sell -but who would buy?
The carpet is exceptional.
19” wheels & tires.
Borla Stainless Steel exhaust
Upgraded Stereo
New Flywheel
New Clutch
New Bosch Battery.
Engine Manifold Polished
Violet high performance spark plug wires fitted
Upgraded stereo system.
Push Button Start Button
