Has any one had a problem with the sunvisor druping? The previous owner had his garage opener attached to the visor and now it won't go up tight against the roof. I dont know if I need to replace a spring tension thing or need to replace the entire visor? Any help or any one having the same problem greatly appreciated.

I have a 93 coupe and had the same problem. I bought a used set from another 968 forum member and replace them. The plastic triangle that holds the metal knuckle split on the old ones.

That solution may work for a while depending on how far gone they are.



The only real solution to visor droop is brand new visors. The internal hinge wears out over time and cannot be fixed without tearing the thing apart.

You can try replacing the "clips" or "slots" near the rear view mirror into which the visors connect. If they're tighter, your visors shouldn't droop as much.

I had this problem in my '93 coupe with both visors. The only solution for my particular case was to replace both with brand new from Sunset Porsche in Oregon. I replaced the clips that Duckman references as well.



They weren't particularly cheap, I recall something like $200+ for the pair, but it certainly worked. It did take several weeks for one of them to come from Germany.
