New drivers seat
#21

Lims does very nice work from a few cars that I have seen. I like the embossed crest since it is very low key, I did not even notice it in the 996 I was driving earlier this year until I went to clean the seats.

I am sure your guy is good but what happens if something is not right, having to send them back would be a major PIA. This way I'm only 10 minutes away and get an immediate repsonse. I'd rather have the person close by and it's only a $300 difference. Flash I know the CA people are very good at doing this type of work but we have some good people on the "right" coast.

No problem. I just wish I could have your seats. Working on a project to add some HP to my car so no Recaros. I main problem is the difference in color of the new seat and the passenger seat. Got to try and find some cleaner to really bring out the color of the passenger seat.

I have my new leather seat. It is so nice, I hate to sit in it. The car smells like a new car with the leather smell. The fit and finish is excellent and the seat is all leather. Apparently Porsche no longer has the same color vinyl for the back so it's all leather. Now to keep it looking great and find a better way tho enter the car without sliding against the bolster. Have to it the "girlie" way, i.e. butt first and then swing your legs in. I saw a product in the Performance Products catalogue for seat chaps. It is made of vinyl and fit over the head rest and the bolsters for $80. Not sure I want to cover up 50% of the leather seat with vinyl but it might be a solution if you want to hide a torn bolster. Now I have to go sit in my car.

That leather should go for years before you have to start worrying about it again. Seat covers serve a great purpose but I cant get pass the look. I have yet to see one that complements the car. However when out playing ball, or days when the car is sitting in the sun, I have been guilty of using a beach towel to protect leather.
