Help - Light problems
#1

My right headlight has been 'lazy' for a while. It comes up to the top and then drops a bit which means it shines up. Been a problem for a while and I've searched high and low on here for solution but haven't found any.

Took a look at it again today. I can try manually to raise it to the right position but the motor just turns it back to the same spot. I took out the relay and cleaned the contacts. It just seems that it's in the wrong position. I don't know how to reset it to the right one.

Now this has become an even bigger problem as last time I drove at night the left headlight stopped working. Parking light is ok and high beam is ok but not the low-beam. Tried new bulb and cleaning the contacts(they do look rough). think all the breakers are ok. are there separate breakers for the high and the low?

Thanks Dominik,

Yes, there are separate fuses for high beams and for low beams.

Do you have the factory workshop manual? It has instructions on how to realign the light and check the linkage and stuff. If you don't have the WSM send me a PM...

Thanks. Found the manuals and found the wiring diagram. The WSM is just really vague in it's description of how the adjustment should be made. Plus I don't want to pull the light out. Seems like an awful lot of work. I'll play around with it see what happens.

Well, it's not the breaker. Could it be the relays in the 18/19 position. I took them out to stop the lights from moving and as a consequence the lights stopped working. The low and high-beams.

Is there any particular place that the wires get worn through easily?

Help,

Thanks
