Rubber Mounts for Fuel Rail Cover
#1

I recently priced a bunch of little, mostly nonfunctional, parts my car needs. The two passenger-side mounts for the fuel rail cover are missing so they made the list, until I found the price: $18 each! I think I'll just make an aluminum spacer instead.

The two driver's side mounts already are aluminum spacers, not the rubber shock mounts. But PET says all four should be the same, the rubber part. Any other early '92 cars (mine's #188) have aluminum spacers rather than rubber mounts?

mine's #108 and came with slightly-melted rubber mounts on the exhaust side, and just a long hex-socket bolt on the intake side.

I bit the bullet a coupla years ago and paid $16 for two new intake-side mounts. The hex-bolt method was causing a rattle.

Keep those rubber spacet screws tight or they'll fall out over time! Ask me how I know...
