Rim Weight
#21

that's exactly why - they shatter - that is not as safe - at least a bent rim usually still holds air and the car can be controlled
i know pca was looking into incorporate the wheel age rules into their specs for some of the classes - have they done that yet?
They did incorporate harness age rules for this year forward (2008), but I'm not aware of any wheel age rules changes (yet).

I did not want to start a new "Wheel Fitment" thread so I am reviving a very, very, very old (almost as old as Flash) thread.

With the presumption (not up for discussion paleeeaase!!! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/icon_lol1.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> ) that I want to fit an 18 x 11" wide wheel on the rear, with Hoosiers R6 315/30 mounted, what would the ideal offset be for the race car under the following general conditions:
 • -2 to -2.7 camber
 • Do not want to cut inner fender area
 • Will roll fender lip
 • yes, the ride height will continue on the low side of the racing slammed range
Offset = _________

assuming you already have the car set to those specs, merely take physical measurements, and then use the wheel calculator to determine the offset

lol - go get a tape measure and plug in the numbers - it won't take but a few minutes - the calculator is a great tool, and located at the top of this category
