2010 Audi A4 2.0 Turbo
#1

I recently bought a 2010 Audi A4 and was disappointed with the cheap feel of the car compared to my '05 A4. I like the power of the 2.0T engine over the 1.8T that my '05 had but I hate the electronic feel of the accelerator and the steering, anyone feel the same way?

Haven't driven a '10 yet, but your '05 throttle body was drive-by-wire (fully electronic) also - no throttle cable. What feels different about it?

I had a 2.0T as a loaner for a week. It felt like a 6 cylinder at first until I realized it was a 4. Nice features but nothing spectacular. I've owned BMW 5 series and a Mercedes S500 as comparison. Great gas milage and the heated seats really came in handy.

We like 4 cyl Audis and are on our third one. I started with a brilliant yellow A4 1.8 150 hp TQ 5 spd. I had great luck with the car so after I sold it I purchased my current daily driver, an 06 A4 TQ 6spd s-line. The 06 has 200hp. There was no comparison between the 99 and the 06. The 06 was much faster and even got better gas mileage (over 30 on the highway) Now, we just recently took delivery of a 11 Q5. It has the current 2.0T which now has 211hp but 253 pounds of torque, even more torque then the 3.2 6. It is paired with an 8 speed auto tranny. We love it. Great vehicle. I can't comment on the feeling of a 2010 A4 but I am happy with my 06 and our Q5.

To answer chudson's question of "what feels different about it" The car has an artificial feel to it especially under slow acceleration but don't get me wrong I really love this car in so many other areas.

I love Audis (daily driver is an 08 A4 6MTQ) though I am not a huge fan of the interior of the B8s. They just feel cheaper, I don't like the dash layout and I hate the silver MMI surround that can't be changed no matter what option you select (woodgrain, aluminum, carbon fiber, etc). I nearly pulled the trigger on ordering a 2011 S4 but held off, just didn't feel right inside. The new seats are much improved though, I hate the stock seats in the B7s. I've finally gotten them adjusted to where they don't kill me on trips, but not enough side lumbar support. And no sport seat option on the B7s either.

I nearly pulled the trigger on a 2011 S4 but asked myself is this car for me or my wife? Answer my wife. If Audi produce's the quattro sport concept I will throw down a down payment tomorrow. I love the sound of a five cylinder turbo...S1 comes to mind

UPDATE: My A4 ate up a quart of oil. (Every Three Fill-Ups) For a year. Audi brought my car in for an oil consumption test and it failed. Audi said they would fit my A4 with larger cylinders. Basically, I'm a little nervous they are rebuilding the whole engine.

Love my '01 S4 twin turbo 2.7 ltr 6 cyl and so does the wife. Stage 1 flashed ecu, short short kit and aftermarket suspension. I've been thinking of buying another B5 S4 so we both have one. Would love to put that drive train in a 968.
