Need a pointer to a decent Audi Forum
#1

One of my friends lost his battle with pancreatic cancer April 15th and his wife has finally gotten to the point where she is ready to deal with his stuff. He had three cars that I'd like to help her sell (van is already gone).
2002 Audi A-4 1.8L Turbo Quattro - 74,000 miles (timing belt just replaced)
2001 Audi S-4 2.7L Turbo Quattro- 94,600 miles (timing belt has been replaced) 2 sets of tires (winter/summer) for this car
2001 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.4L - 49,000 miles

Rather than trading them in I wanted to see what they were worth as quick retail sales to get her a little more money but I have no experience with Audi although I am considering his S4 (and the 996) He bought his Porsche after he was diagnosed because he always wanted one and while he only got to put 11,000 miles on it he enjoyed everyone of them.

Flash- He also has a whole bunch of high end audio stuff I need to go through. He was a sales rep for thirty years for audio equipment and his basement has acoustical stuff hanging all over the place to get just the right sound. Watching movies with him could drive you insane. Thanks,
Mark

He lived 2+ years past his original expiration date and was able to do all sorts of things on his bucket list. The last couple of weeks were truly sad but up until that point he did well.

try vwvortex.com, they have several classifieds sections which are very very active (including Audi sub sections)

I'm beginning to like driving the 996, it may have been a mistake offering to help her out.

Well I am sadly taking the 996 to CarMax in the morning they offered 20K for it which is over excellent book and it has a broken windshield and both bumpers need to be resprayed. I'll see it on the lot for 26K in a couple of weeks and be kicking myself for not buying it.

I did buy the S4, what a fun little sedan that is.

I had considered an S4 at one point. I think you will like it even more when the snow comes.

Sorry to hear about the loss. It is never easy.

Any luck on the A4? Try

www.audiworld.com

or

www.audifans.com

Much better than vwvortex imho.

Good luck on the S4. The B5 S4 is still my favorite. I have a friend who does custom tuning for the 2.7T engines. Drop me a message if you're interested in upgrading your current tunning.

A4 is gone as well, we sold 5 vehicles and bought her a new A4.
Current Stage1 on the S4 is fine for me, it is now my daily driver when my wife is not driving it.

Really should have bought the 996 as well and I am still kicking myself, I just hate parking cars outside and with only two spaces available in the garage it was not going to work. The truck, SUV and the Audi will be outside with the 2 968s tucked happily in the garage.
