My PO tried to smooth some of the body lines on the drivers side with a tire wall
I've redone most of his work and very happy with the car!
Cheers,
Dave

My PO had the car serviced and detailed at Princeton Porsche.
He bought a new wheel bearing, underbody trays, and new visors for passenger and driver. He rather nonchalantly offered me the extra set of Cup II rims with like new Bridgestone SO-3's. We had not even talked about them! I also found a new Craftsman torque wrench in the back with the doughnut. The car had 44K miles at the time. Now it has 61K.
Finally, when I went to Princeton to pick up the new visors (they had been ordered through the dealer), I also found in the box a new Porsche "onesie" for my 3-month old daughter, Elli.
That PO is in my PO "Hall of Fame".

The blue car PO:
Taken to the dealer religiously to repair ANYTHING that wasn't perfect. I always remember the receipt I found for a $257 shift boot. The car had belt service, clutch service ($955 flywheel), interior service, and being a stealership, they also gave her a good posterior service. When we bought the car, it had 220k miles, but it looked like it had 60k miles, inside, outside, engine bay, I kid you not. No goofball evidence has been found.
The red car PO:
The well known Bill P in the bay area. He had 5 other 968s at the time I bought his 6th one. The car had no problems at all when I bought it, and in 2 years of ownership it is still fine. The car was well taken care of and super clean. I remember noticing there was a little microphone installed in the cluster trim piece, over by the temp gauge. I asked him about it, and he said he never even noticed it, and it must be some kind of CIA spy device. But he was cool, talked a lot about Porsche history and his own ownerships of many different porsches from way back in the day. He called me a month later and a year later to see how the car was going for me. No goofball evidence found.
We just got lucky with the POs I guess.
But on my (now sold) 944, there were T O N S of goofball birdbrain things. I loved the fender sprayed with the totally wrong shade of red.

My PO installed a belt what was one teeth to much. So you could not hear de waterpump squeeking.
I still drove 3 Kmiles with it. So I was lucky. When I cleaned the car I found 100 dollar under the carpet. So the PO payed my new belt without nowing it.

Forgot this part:
PO also paid the EZPass violaiton ticket I got on the NJ Turnpike about 30 minutes after I bought the car. Never noticed I was in the wrong lane and it still had his NJ tags. A good guy all around.
