How can I tell if I have updated castor blocks?
#1

With all the discussion about suspension mods lately, I took a look under my car, to which the previous owner made some very nice modifications, to check out the castor blocks. I had remembered them looking pretty hefty, as well as shinier and newer-looking than the rest of the suspension parts, and a mechanic who had worked on the car thought they were the later, upgraded ones. Here is a picture of one of my castor blocks. Does it look like one of the newer ones? I'm planning to get Flash's new lower suspension brace, and there has been some concern expressed that the added stiffness could transfer extra stress to the castor blocks, and that getting the heavier duty ones would be a good idea to go along with the brace. What do you guys think? Thanks.

Yes, those are the updated castor blocks. My car came with the standard ones (may be because it had 16" wheels) but I recently updated them as well after switching to 17" wheels.

Great, thanks! That's what I thought; just wanted to confirm. Will be ordering my lower suspension brace soon...
