Porsche Technical Specification Manual
#1

I belong to the Oregon chapter of the Porsche club of America. In the latest issue of our club magazine was an interesting article dealing with the old "Technical Specification" manuals that Porsche used to publish. They were available at the parts counter, and contained all the information that you needed for tuning your car, and maintaining it also. It was a manual specific to the model of the car, in out case the 968.

Pelican Parts is selling the new revised manual written by a gentlemen , Mr. Bruce Whittier. His email is Porschetech@cpmcast.net.

Unfortunately Pelican Parts does not have new manual on the 968. They do have one on the 944, but not the 944S2.

I think if we all wrote to Bruce Whittier and showed how many of us are interested in a manual for the 968, there is a chance of his writing one for us. So lets all write to him and get a technical Specification manual for our great cars.

Done.

Quote:Good morning Mr. Whittier,

I'm writing to lend my support to the request for an updated technical manual for the Porsche 968. Mr. William Moss was kind enough to alert those of us who are members of 968Forums.com to the release of updated manuals for other models including the 944, and it's our hope that if we show enough interest, you may decide to release a similar manual for the 968.

If you have any questions, I can be reached at the address(es) and phone number shown below.

I appreciate your consideration, and I'll do whatever I can to assist you.

Have a great weekend.

Allen

....and everyone trying to sell one is darn proud of it! I think I have just about every book printed by Porsche regarding the 968 but this one. Every time I find a nice one for sell it just seems to be stupid money for what you're getting.
