Porsche Boxster Wheels
#1

Just a quick question I have a chance to purchase a set of BBS rims w/embossed caps and Goodyear eagle tires in like new shape. They are size 225/45 ZR 17 7" fronts and 255/40 ZR17 9" rears. The owner says these will bolt right on to my 968? Is this right? Thanks for any info

I think you have to get the offset measurement to be sure.

For the Boxster wheels I purchased, the rear bolted right on but the front needed a spacer. Probably has something to do with offset, as JTP mentioned.

Ask the seller what the offset ET # is on the rear side of the wheels.

55 offset front for 7 inch wheels and 50 offset rear should work for 8.5 inch wheels. 55 offset rear for 9 inch wheels. I have them on my car.

I recall the issue in the front might be interference with the wheel bearing cap, unless you add a small wheel spacer. I have also heard of people leaving that cap off, but I do not think that is particularly wise.
