Porsche #2

Hi All,

I recently purchased a 1994 968 coupe ... super clean 2 owner car, no accidents, lots of records, all stock/original.  Everything works, right down to the A/C and sunroof, so I think I'm starting out OK.  Can't say that I was really looking for one, but it sort of found me.

Also have a newer 911 in the garage ... no complaints about it other than all it ever needs is polishing!  Since my tools were getting bored I decided if I ever stumbled upon a decent 968 I'd grab it so I could start tinkering again.  So here we go ... time to start driving and see what breaks.

Since you're here, I'll throw out my first softball question: are there supposed to be separate keys for the hatch and glovebox, or do they use the ignition key?  Figured I should get the key situation sorted out before I lose the only one I have.

Cheers, and thanks in advance for your guidance on the many questions to come.

Welcome,

Sounds like you found a beauty.

You will need about 5 posts before you have full access to the site, but it sounds like you won't have too much trouble getting there.

To your question; one key controls the ignition, hatch, and glove box.

Funny, but Gollum always seemed to have the keys to my car's well being!

Welcome!!

And, if the only problem with the 968 is that you only have one key...sounds like you're starting off with a good one.
