A Loooong (Porsche) Journey Continues
#1

I have always been fascinated with Porsche's front-engine line.  Late in 1976, I purchased a 924, which I drove for nearly 200,000 miles, and ultimately replaced that vehicle with a 944, which delivered another 200K miles. Then just yesterday, after a 5-year search, I purchased my "ultimate quest vehicle" -- a Guards Red 6-speed 1995 968 Cabriolet.  I'm taking delivery this coming Wednesday.

Hi Bob, I'm in Reno, and another member on here is in Sparks. Let me know if you need a good mechanic, mine in Sparks is very familiar with the 944/968 models as he trained on them when they were new and Porsche was located in Reno.

Welcome to the forum!

Matt.

Welcome. I am new here is well, just signed up.

I had a 924 for 12 years and who knows how many miles. It was my daily driver. Now I have a black '94 cab and it feels like I'm back in the 924 again, only WAY better!

Bob's Update: The purchase transaction went smoothly following a thorough mechanical inspection by Porsche specialist Chris Radbill Automotive in West Chester, PA. I left the Philadelphia area on Thursday, Nov 17th and have, so far, made it 1850 miles to Wyoming by Saturday night, the 19th. That's a lot of (really fun) driving, with speed limits here in Wyoming 80 MPH on most parts of I80. (Just wait til I hit Nevada!)
