GT40 is iconic, period. Awesome car.

Ford GT is not. It was a marketing ploy for the Centennial year of Ford, turned concept, turned short production.

I should have been more clear earlier on GT40 or Ford GT

I vote the Aston Martin Cygnet as the ugliest supercar :

Isn't that stretching the definition of "supercar" just a tad? <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/blink.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

Probably quite a bit to be truthful, but it is an Aston Martin. Look at their product line up: http://www.astonmartin.com/

What about the Aston Martin Lagonda - it looks like something out of the Thunderbirds.

Sorry - also should have added the Bugatti EB110 as well.

Is it just me - or does the Ferrari California look like something out of Speed Racer?

Hmm..interesting that no one ( yet ) voted for the Enzo. Or any given recent Lambo for that matter..

BTW, the reason I chose the Nissan GTR at the very top, is that whilst most of the cars mentioned here are ugly in their own right, at least they have the appearance of expensive, super cars. The GTR on the other hand, is not only fugly as it gets , but IMO looks like a cheap 80s Toyota or Honda reject vehicle, used for student driver's ed courses.

Ford GT is the car after which I need nothing else. It was gorgeous when it took on Ferrari (and beat them) in the sixties and is even more beautiful now. Have to disagree on that one.

Maybe... but I'm in the minority in that I actually like the California. Kind of a classic long hood, short deck design. Not Ferrari's best effort ever, but not bad, imho. And other than the hideous Countach, I'd rate most Lamborghini's as pretty good looking (the Aventador is definitely drop-dead gorgeous, although a little big for my taste), their d-bag factor notwithstanding.

Dan, your description of the GT-R is spot on. It's just a drab, cheap-looking car. A shame, considering the technological tour de force under that repulsive skin.

Oh yeah, then there's the Enzo. What were they thinking?

Cloud, I am with you .... I like GT cars and think the California is pretty attractive. I also think the short lived Jag XK220 was another beautiful supercar.

Not sure anyone would consider it a prototypical "supercar", but it meets most if not all the performance criterion: Caterham Super 7. The R500 Superlite is in the top three in the 0-60 category ...

So far I am thinking the Weber and the Consulier are running away with this one.

I can't agree with the California, or the Ford GT being on the list. I guess that's why manufacturers make different designs. A buddy of mine has a Caterham 7, and I dig the car. I don't think it's pretty per say, but I wouldn't call it ugly either. I am willing to forgive most foibles for the way it handles. That thing is bad with the supercharged Hyabusa motor in it.

Yeah, I'm kind of the same way. For example, I wouldn't call a Lotus Elise pretty, but it's just such a cool car that I can overlook its mosquito-esque styling.

Ok, from ugliest super-cars, to just plain ugly “ modifications “ . Not sure whether to laugh or vomit looking at these ..

The only one I disagree with is the "All Black"...I would consider driving a blacked out car.

The Jaguar wrapped Jaguar made me LOL, and it would be funny to drive it around (once!)

Although not a fan of black cars, I still would agree with that.   Depending on the car of course....

Ok, folks  UGLY CARS world has a new Emperor:  The Tesla Cybertruck.   I am not even sure I can come up with adequate words to describe my reaction to this monstrosity.  By far the most repulsive "thing" in automotive history I have ever seen  ; it looks like a Pontiac Aztec mated with a DeLorean and gave birth to a seriously deformed coffin.
