I've had the magnecor kv85 competition 8.5mm ignition cables on two of my last modified cars. I never had a problem with them and we have hot weather here in phoenix, it was a 115 degrees today. I am not sure how the fit would be for the 968 but magnecore does produce a quality product. Anyone have these on there car?

If the information in the "The Truth about Ignition Wire Conductors" at the Magnicor site can be trusted, then it would explain the issues people have reported here about the Nology wires.
Has anyone used Magnicor in their 968? It sounds to me that unless you are using high output coil, there is no real need for more than stock wires. But I believe the claims that the Magnicor wires will last a lot longer than any carbon based wire.
I know enough about electricity to understand how EFI is made and it's effect. Most of my practical experience is with very low voltage conductors in microcircuit applications. But we are taught to understand high-voltage electricity first. And the reasoning put forth in the article looks correct to me.
If Nology wires are made they way that Magnicor claims they are, then I really don't want them. I would expect them not to work any better than the stock wires, and to wear out faster.
Of course, to be fair, I should read literature from Nology, which I have not. And I need to get back to work with the little nanometer devices.... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Pete at RS Barn recommended OEM to me last year. To many problems with aftermarkets.
