Please take me back ;)
#1

Most probably don't recall me, but I used to own a precious 92 cobalt blue cab, and was very active with this forum (this really is a great forum). I have been sleeping around, but am coming back to the front engine water-cooled side. Can you help a brother out on what to look for when I'm test inspecting one? All the right questions.

I will inquire and pour through records. Ask about the pinion bearing, the timing and balance belts. I know how it should feel and handle. Should I inspect the sunroof hinges with a meticulous eye? The one I'm looking into is a 93 coupe with 75,000mi one owner. She's on a reputable lot used to dealing high-end foreign cars. I assume it was a trade-in. Will know more tomorrow or Saturday. I miss my 968.

Feel free to rake me through the mud--I deserve it. I can take. I still have a 87 BMW M6 if you know anyone interested. I'm still uncertain if I will sell her, but it's open for discussion. She's in great shape.

Member 128 huh. Welcome back.

No need to flame ya. The RR set up is Porsche's bread and butter. Well respected and well refined. Yet, I prefer the FR.

I wouldn't let the hinges discourage me from a other wise sound car. Its easily replaced and a common wear item as is the glove box, sun visor, odometer gear etc. I will mention this, ask about the clutch hose. If your driving it back a good distance after the purchase it could spare you a few cursings.

Have it checked out by a good P mechanic that knows the 968. Worth the $200, but you know that if you are a P owner.

How would you compare the M3 to the 968? I had an e30, but just teh 325. Fun little car but not near as much a driver as the 968 - no comparison.

Why buy a "mystery" 968 of a car lot when Jarrod has 2 absolute "cream puff" 968s available.

Here's the rub, Jarrod's 968 Coupe is Cobalt Blue!!!!!!!

So if you miss the hue of your ex cab, jump on Jarrod's Coupe.

However, if you're "pining" for another Cab, Jarrod may still have his uber-pristine Guards Red/Black 968 Cab available.

Both 968s are in spectacular, original condition with up-to-the-minute maintenance already done. As such, these 968s are ready to drive/enjoy.
