Please Help!

My nephew has a school project where he is to send "Flat Stanley" to friends and relatives to get pictures taken in interesting places (he's a person cut out of paper and colored ). Not wanting my nephew to be out done by anyone I would like some help from the wonderful people on the forum. If you live in an area with something interesting or are in another country and are willing to give up a few minutes of your time please send me a PM with your address (please be specific with foreign addresses with how they should be formatted) and I will mail you a Flat Stanley (sssshhhh, we are using copies, don't tell). If you could hold him up next to something interesting, take a picture and send me an e-mail with the picture I would be grateful.

I know we have some members in other countries and having pictures with a welcome sign for your town or a special land mark would be great (something that 7 year olds would know would be nice but not required). I know we have some people in the DC area, maybe someone could do me a HUGE favor and get a picture or pictures with some monuments? Also, I rarely make it into NYC so if someone lives or works there and would be willing I'd like some with the empire state building, time square or maybe with a Penn station sign?

Please let me know ASAP if you are willing to help out.

PM or e-mail at bgrabau@live.com

Thank you!

I have a windmill on the corner of my street. I think that is quite representative of the Netherlands. If you're interested I can send you a PM with my address.

I live close to a Koala park here in Australia.

Would you also like a photo of Flat Stanley near an Australian 968? I'll wager he'd be the only one in his class with a photo like that.

DC monuments here and/or Dulles Airport, which is kinda iconic itself. Bring me a Stanley to Hershey!

How about Stanley in front of the Winter Olympic Torch in downtown Vancouver?
I could also get one in front of a "Welcome to Vancouver" sign.

Think the teach is going to get suspicious when she sees that Stan really seems to like 968s?

I'm headed to teh Long Beach GP this wkend. I'll print out your pic above and see if I can get him with Danaka Patric )

** To Everyone- if you send a picture of Stanley with your 968 please also send an alternate photo with Stanley and some sort of non car background. We don't need the teacher getting suspicious as rxter mentioned. Having a ton of 968 pictures with Stanley will make an interesting addition to the 968forums photo gallery though... LOL

rxter, A pic with Danaka would be very cool, if you could pull that off I'd make that my profile picture. Here is a link to a PDF version of Stanley, this way he'll print out in the correct size and just needs to be cut out.

Also, if anyone else (that I haven't already spoken to and worked out shipping) wants to print and cut him out and e-mail me the pictures feel free to do so. Everyone that I have spoken to already has an envelope in the mail and any one else that would like one shipped send me a PM with your address.

Thank you everyone for your support, I will post all the pictures when the project is done. It'll be interesting to see a little part of where every one is from.

GP at Longbeach was a total blast, until I tried to get close enough to Danaka for a Stan photo op and was locked up for qualifying, the race, and another 2 hours until my SO could bail me out.

Kidding - but security was tighter than, well, it was tight. So no chance to get any sort of reasonable Flat Stan pic.

I have another interesting run coming up this week that may lend itself to some Stan pics. No Danaka Patric, but maybe come interesting scenery.

Bruce,

Look forward to meeting you this year in Hershey. Perhaps we can get a shot of flat Stanley with Jerry Seinfeld, who normally shows up for the Swap Meet. If anybody in the Group sees him, maybe he would agree to a photo with FS.

Don

p.s. Thanks for your contribution last year, even though you were unable to attend.

When I was at the 09 Rolex 24 hour Danica was there in the pits around the cars. I was actually standing right next to her looking at a car with her and I didn't know who she was. Though it odd why everyone was pointing cameras at me. She was in a street clothes, so she kind of blended in with the others. No security around her at that race.
