Milwaukee PCA Fall Tour
#1

I know very few here are from my side of the world but I thought some folks close may like to join. It's a great chance to have fun with your car and check out a cool cave.

PS. last I heard there were 35 cars signed up.

Wow..I am like 90 minutes from Madison, in Illinois. I will try to make this event. The only thing that might stop me is the fact that my wife is VERY pregnant and if things progress quickly, I don't think a leisurely drive would be in order!

Also, nice to find someone from this forum so close. Look forward to meeting at this or another event.

The more the better, I'm about the only 968 in the club here (dam air cools ) so it would very cool to talk to a fellow 968er face to face. The tours are always fun, the roads are twisty and the people are friendly. If you do make it we are gathering at the hwy 83 park-n-ride on the south side of 94 (to many cars for the McDonalds lot).

Congrats on the soon-to-be babe. When it's born, from day one start saying "Porsche" over and over to it; I did this and it was my sons first word (how cool is that!).

Don't think I will make it...wife has started labor! It is slow going so I have some time, but Saturday definitely looks to be out.

The tour was fantastic! Hats off to the two gentlemen that planned the route. The weather was perfect, the roads were twisty, hilly (the pics don't show that well), and free from oncoming cars .

We started the day with 40+ cars and took to the freeway (what a sight to see the looks as folks passed that many Porsches) to our exit road with my brother manning the camera the fun began

40+ cars

We drove many roads like this only more hills and curves (my brother was a bit nervous on these one so not many pics of them)

After a couple hours we stopped to stretch our legs (this poor little town only had 1 gas station with 4 pumps and 6 streets but we took over anyway)

Then back on the road for more fun (can you say triple digits)

We stopped at a lonely golf course for lunch (not all the cars parked on the grass)

Then on to the cave (it was about 10 miles from here but it took 2 hours to get there, go figure)

The Cave of the Mounds is very small compared to many but its ours

Sorry about the pics (my camera is rather old and cheap ) Also the thumbs that are missing work when clicked on.

Hey GrennMachine, How's wife and the baby

And I missed that just for the birth of my little girl? I feel like the guy on that commercial for fantasy football where he misses the draft for his wedding and admits that he has no excuse!

Kidding aside, we had our little girl..a whopping 10lb 4oz little girl. It was a scary delivery, but all ended great. I am a big guy and mom just stared daggers into me when they announced her weight! lol!

She is amazing

She looks healthy and content (wait for the teen years ) Congrats!

Now you need to work on finding a carseat for the 968, you know she will want to go for rides with Dad.

heh... I already have a 2 1/2 yr old little girl and my wife already put her foot down on toddlers and infants in the 968. She knows me too well to know I will obey all posted speed limits
