to finally end the debates, i went back the dyno to retest the "new" versions of the promax chips
we used a completely stock 94 cab with 77k miles - the engine was running strong and showed no issues
we tested the stock chip, both the 7100 and the 7700 versions of the promax, as well as the Racer X chip
as with any valid test, all conditions were carefully controlled - a baseline was established and a direct comparison could then be made
no surprises - Racer X still won - both brands were very nearly the same curve all the way up to 6k - from there, the Racers X took over - while the promax peaked at 6332 and 6506, and then fell off fast, the Racer X chip went higher, held that power longer, and fell off more gradually, giving a larger, higher, wider, and more useable power peak curve - here is the chart - see for yourself
