A new tension tool on the market
#1

Someone needs to order one of these and check it out. Looks promising and much better than the Jiminey Krikit.

Looks interesting. It's a good thing to get an alternative to the 9201 tool and Kricket. For 928s, Jay Kempf made a spring tool that's used by many hundreds of 928 owners. It's similar to an obsolete Porsche tool. I use the Kempf tool to get the belt tension in the "ball park" since it's really easy to use...then the 9201 to fine tune the belt. The 9201 is a pain in tight quarters but a breeze on open belts like the AC ribbed belt, etc. The Kempt tool won't work on 944s/968s but I wonder why some adaptation might not work. There's probably a good reason.

For the 27mm wrench for the Balance Belt change, I just took a really cheap Chinese wrench and ground it to size with a grinder. I took a look at the speciality tool with the two side prongs on it and just bought one instead of jerry rigging something. For Porsches, the right tools make all the difference.
