Odd single fuse
#1

Hi, have just had the glove box out of the car today, while i was 'dressing' the cables from the stereo upgrade that i fitted recently. i noticed a single black plastic fuse holder line on a bracket which was labelled 40 to 47, it only had one 10 amp fuse in it, with a pair of thin guage wires running from it. Put a meter on it, and its 'hot' 12 volt with the ignition on, spliced into it preveously was an aftermarket GPS speed cam/trap detector, which was pretty naff, so i had removed it. Anyone tell me what the rail is for?, cannot find ref to it via the service manual, and the pair of wires that run to it are very thin guage, but at least I have now found a switchable 12 volt source for the new stereo setup.
