Nurburg Ring, full lap video
#1

It does pass a 911 at one point so I figured its semi appropriate for the board <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I'm a Ring enthusiast, having spent a day driving there a few years ago. I've downloaded dozens of Ring videos, and this is the best by far. You'll see one of the world's best drivers on the world's best track. Highly recommended, and well worth the download time!!

That's just crazy fast. What an awesome driver. He must know the track well.

It must take a lot of laps to get 14 miles of track perfected. The commitment with which Stuck attacks those turns just shows how good he is and that he must have driven the place a bazillion times. Some of those closing speeds are incredible too. I couldn't imagine what it is like doing the Nurburgring 24 hour in that car - with 220 cars out there and in the middle of the night. Crazy.

I think this thread needs some 968 content!

Lots of pics of the 968 which has done the Nurburgring 24 the last couple years.

Yes. You and Rustech are exactly right. Most people agree that Hans Stuck has more Nurburgring experience than any man alive today.

I agree this is by far the best Ring video I have seen. The closing rates between the cars is impressive, I'm sure its pretty scary in those slow cars to see that BMW show up out of no where. Gotta stay on your toes! Nice find.

You will need approx 100 laps to be able to drive fast on the track. But then still it is very dangerous as there is no space for your car to go in case of any slight mistake and weather conditions might be totally different in single areas.

Very beautiful track indeed !

according to the video that was Hans Stuck. I can't think of any other living driver that would be better on the nurburg ring. That's pretty much his course. As far as I can tell he just spends all day every day doing that with the occasional factory ride for BMW thrown in. Watching that reply gave me a whole lot of respect for Gran Turismo 4's representation of the course. I don't know if anyone still plays video games but it's rendering is dead on. I'd never really seen the whole course so I didn't know. Plus you can race it in that same excact car (m-3 gtr).

Guys just a side note...he did that lap using the street version of the GTR...unreal.

(ok as if the street version of the GTR is some normal street car, lol...but still)
