After considering a host of different options and reading the various posts here and elswhere I have just fitted an alloy cap with the pattern engraved on it. It isn't as flash as some options discussed above but it was cheap, easy to fit and it does lift the look of the cabin.
I'm still thinking about Flash's short shift kit; maybe next year.
I was thinking roughly the same: inserting a brushed aluminum shifter pattern is about as far as my modifications will go. But I'm looking at sources for some replacement leather. I found this German dude on eBay that claims to master English but I've found that claim to be untrue.. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

Hello distinguished 968ers...I wasn't sure if this should be a "new" topic or not since it's related to a new gear shifter - but would like some information.
Having Alan Gunn redo my steering wheel and shifter knob...how the &*^% does one get the knob/shifter off/out of a tiptronic tranny? if it makes any difference it's a '94 cab...
