Boxter shifter knob
#1

Would a Boxter shift knob and boot fit a 944? Could it be modified to work? Has any body done this?

Thanks!

It has been done lots of times. I know it was covered in the old 968.net forum. The 986/996 knob fits but the boot doesn't. The best solution is to have a upholestry shop create a new boot. I run a 996 knob on the race car, but it is easy since I don't have a boot.

Edit:

Here is a link to it on Eric S's old site: http://www.968s.com/INTshifter.htm

Thanks for posting the link. I know I had seen it somewhere.

I was hoping the boot would fit. The knob comes with the boot. And the boot is alcantra.

I may just pick up the knob.
