HELP! Rubber hood bumpers to firewall seal fit?
#1

I posted a query a week or more ago on Rennlist (no responses yet) requesting a pic showing where the rubber hood bumpers/vibration dampers that are near either end of the rubber seal that seals the fresh air intake area off from the engine bay...........where the bumpers sit in relation to this seal.

I am doing the installation of the two bumpers and the seal today. I have to cut the seal to make it fit and want to make sure I have all the pieces fitting correctly before I make the cut.

Can someone either attach a picture of this to this thread, or send it directly to my email at?

bc1@joimail.com .............OR.....................

Can I get a verbal description of where the bumpers sit on the fender lip in relation to the rubber seal?

Thanks in advance to those who are able to assist.

Dave, you need to paint them white so the hood / fender groove color aesthetic is

"uninterrupted" .... as you gaze at the car from way up above... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Looks like the entire seal is missing between the bumpers. Appears to have been cut off from the base that presses down onto the upper lip/edge of the firewall.
