Just replaced the two door seals and the entire rubber trim/fastening stuff for the four plastic trim pieces that sit behind the front wheels and under the doors on my white coupe. It was getting a bit tattered and the trim pieces were not fitting properly any more. All was available from Porsche. Also got the 72,000 km service completed and had the hatch closure adjusted since replacing the hatch seal about a month ago. Car is now faster (0-100 km in less than 2 seconds in 1st gear) and I am sure that it is the trim at the bottom that is doing it. It just looks faster now (not to mention like a new car. As Anchorman says - it's even more fun if you don't add up what it costs!
On a serious note, I did notice immediately that there is now no black residue on the fenders behind the wheels. Before, I would get this after only a few minutes of driving and, after an hour, it was VERY noticeable and rather unpleasant looking. I am wondering if the spark plugs that were put in at about 36,000 km might have not been right and the car was running rich? Perhaps the replacement ones were different? I am going to research this a bit.

You don't feel it was the 72K service that brought back a few lost pony's to your engine? Loose trim will create drag but I wouldn't think that it would be noticeable to the driver.
Either way, its good to hear that your repairs are reaping good results.
I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!

It was easy to do. I went to work some extra time, doing the job that I am good at and, after earning enough money, paid the Porsche shop to buy and install it for me. The taking of the money out of the wallet was a bit of a task but one that I have also become accustomed to doing and am good at. Seriously, I would not know how to do that at all and would probably mess it up. It made a huge difference in terms of noise getting in the car and it cut down on the rattle of the hatch. At some point, trying to adjust it simply doesn't really improve anything. Repl;acement of 15 year old rubber is the ticket.
Rhudeboye - just a bit of a joke. The 72K service did make the car feel better. The new rubber, however, is what I can see when I look back at the car in the parking lot. It makes me grin more than 72K service.
You can't drive good unless you look good.
