Help...I'm Sinking !!!
#1

Can someone help me locate the drainage holes/ducts for the engine bay area ..... behind the firewall and in front of the windshield? I did an engine clean today and when I was finished, the area around the fusebox was full of water almost up to the top of the fusebox lid! The only way I could get the water out was to keep soaking it up with a rag. It took about 1/2 an hour. The battery side was fine, but there was also water kind of in the middle between the two sides.

Where does one locate the drainage hole(s) [how many are there?] and are there preferred techniques for cleaning them out? Is there anything that has to be removed first to access them.

Thanks in advance.

As I remember, It is the far back joining corner. Mine have been plugged before. I've used plastic tubing to clean them on my S2. It drains into the fender well. Hope this helps...

I checked in the "far back corner" but it seems to be a solid seam at that point. Part way forward there is a small bump or rise in one on the middle seams, and I wonder if it is plugged at this point.

When you use the plastic tubing to clean them, do you use the tube to supply compressed air or a water stream to clean them out?
