Is there somebody here who could use a digital camera to take a picture of the place on the car where the oil pressure sender screws into the engine. I want to check the contacts and "clean" it as and if possible. After spending a lot of money this last week to do a lot of stuff my pressure has now dropped from an erratic but probably correct 4.0-4.5 bar at speed when warm and about 3 bar at idle to about 3.0 bar at speed and just above 1 bar at hot idle. The gauge in the car is new as is the wiring to it. Voltage has been checked at the gauge as about 13.5 V. I still can't figure this out. The sender is new (ie this year) and when it was put on to replace the original sender the pressure was normal until the jumpiness started. Before that with the old sender it was showing low much like now. This is what it is doing now. I am getting only just above 1 bar at hot idle and I don't believe it.
Also, the brand new volt gauge shows about 12.5V even when the voltage to it is showing 13.5V. Any ideas? I know the gauges are not totally correct but this seems odd.
