Agree , i have been wearing neck braces ,for years , mostly on motorbikes , ofrroad and rally , first time , felt ristricted in movement , and the felt i could not move my head in a good way , just kept using it , and i think it saved me from ending up in a wheelchair .
After a while i got so used to it , i did not bother me at all , would never race without one , same for a helmet .
The car i would not think about it , an go for it , looks like a blast to drive , just start of slow , and know your limits , no big deal , you do not have to be the fasted guy out there , just enjoy it .

Quote:Shoulder hurting from seatbelt ?! No discomfort whatsoever, much less any soreness . Even five point seatbelts don’t bother me in the least bit. Yes, I totally get the safety benefit of it, especially with the neck restraint anchor, but the discomfort and soreness, and lack of visibility is the deal breaker for me, and that’s the only reason I have no interest in tracking cars. And to the best of my knowledge in California helmets are mandatory on any and all tracks for any kind of driving, not just racing . I heard that’s the case even for autocross now, which is ridiculous, IMO .
I'm surprised PCA doesn't require it for "Parade Speed".

We require helmets for autocross here in Nevada as well. I don't think they have ever caused a problem, but they have helped out in a couple of crashes in the past few years. Saved a Mini driver here about three years ago, so worth the discomfort in my opinion.

I was referring to the folks in Hershey with their polo shirts buttoned too tight.
