Just received my latest copy of Grassroots Motorsports Magazine and see Pablo finished 20th in the Ultimate Track Car Challenge.

Wow, that's amazing, considering the caliber of cars that typically enter that event. I'm expecting my issue any day - can't wait to read about it.

Thanks Everyone!!! You are too kind....

It was another epic scorcher at VIR but my beloved Porsche 968 again did not dissapoint with stellar performance without a single issue in 100+ degree temperatures on-track. GRM did away with the classing structure for the event this year which was somewhat disspointing. Knowing that we were not chasing a particular title or trophy, we deided to use the weekend more as a test and tune after having made so many chages to the car since last year. I even left my 15+ heat cycle Hoosiers in place for the entire event. Ultimately, I believe we were the fastest Normally Aspirated Production Car which would have yielded us a title in-class, if there would have been classes. A fastest time of 2:10 was respectable with data showing a rolling lap of 2:08. With decent rubber, we could have seen a 2:05 which is a fantastick time for any car in our power to weight zone....

Great event, people, and mix of cars. We did get invited to participate in the morning photo shoot as part of a selcted 9 cars. The son of GRM's owner really liked #75 and shot the frames himself. The first formal press release had our picture in it so all-in-all, a great successful weekend representing!

Cheers!

Great job, Pablo. I got my issue a couple of days ago, and did a quick mental assessment of the power-to-weight ratio of the cars, focusing on the ones with slower times than Pablo's. Not ever car's horsepower and weight were stated in the article, so a lot of it was educated guesswork, but my opinion is that Pablo's car is in the bottom five in terms of power-to-weight ratio, and yet his time was 20th fastest out of the 50 cars. Of course, there are a lot of factors besides power-to-weight ratio that impact lap times (the aero on Pablo's car I'm sure makes up for some of it!), but overall, Pablo's performance speaks volumes of what these cars are capable of on the track.

In my very brief time back on the track with mine, I can say that my car similarly draws a lot of attention, and the instructors at the track uniformly love it - I can hardly get it away from them sometimes!
