Monster Tool Box
#1

I was strolling through Lowe's today, and came across this, only $1,898.00 plus tax with built in stereo speakers! Yikes, there are several interesting cars, boats, or other toys that come to mind for that much!

lol - that's actually not that bad - have you priced a snap-on box lately?

heck - even my craftsman box was nearly that much

when you start talking about ball bearing glides, and decent thickness sheetmetal, or stainless like that one looks to be, they get up there - they are worth every penny though - i've had the cheap clanky boxes before - never doing that again if i can help it

If I recall, this tool box also has a mini fridge in the bottom left.

Yes, and the panel on the upper right pops open to reveal the stereo IIRC. [Image: blink.gif]

I, on the other hand have in my garage a $ 10 tool box from Home Depot in which I keep all the tools I need: a list of phone numbners for my plumber, my car mechanic, my gardner, my electrician, ....

I'm with Dan. Not too many tools - just enough to slice up my hands and get into trouble, but I do have a pretty nice sound set up in the garage.

If I may ask about your sound set up. Do you have a loft and if not what kind of set up? I ask because I am about to start building a new garage and and sound has been a thought.

Nope. Just a stereo and some speakers. More than your typical 15-year old boom box with a broken antenna which usually ends up in the garage. Its good to have the tunes banging while I'm in the garage.

There's a section here for Garages. Maybe you could start a thread there and keep us posted on your plans and progress. We love pictures

If I'm buying a tool box, I don't want the speakers or fridge, I'll buy them separately. With that said, I have spent about $800 on a nice Lowes tool chest ($500 for the lower, $300 for the upper). I like it so much, I threatened to buy one for the family room (so much more practical than a book case), but "Mrs. Tony" didn't like that idea. However, she is still contemplating one for her sewing room.
