I'll see if I can retrieve that info and the source ; I was exposed to the CO info because we have a very large fab facility in that state with about 1,000 employees , and a company policy was put in place whereby any employee found to have marijuana in their system would face disciplinary action, including immediate termination. The stats were used to some extent as a factor leading to that decision , though we did not need to, as it can be entirely arbitrary; employers are are under no legal obligation to accept the use of pot whether the state permits it or not. We just reiterated that policy as respects to our CA employees, days after the new measure passed ..just as a reminder. That said, the same policy applies to alcohol use and related behavior EVEN WNEN " off duty " , or posting anything on social media which is inconsistent with company's moral and ethical standards, and may be construed offensive or insensitive by management , so on and so forth. About as strict as it gets , so not at all surprised about our position taken with respect to pot use by any employees. Now, we have not enforced this policy yet, because the opportunity simpler has not arisen , but it would be interesting to see if indeed something like this goes to trial what the outcome may be.

BTW, you can simply do a web search on statistical increase in ER and hospitalization visits related to marijuana in Colorado, post legalization , and the same for car accidents in CO , and dozens of reports will come up , from every news source imaginable , with ( ,admittedly ) large discrepancies in the actual figures from one to the next , ranging from a minimum of 30 % increase to as much as 300 % increase ( the latter sounds ridiculous to me, but again it falls back on the source, venue, sample size, etc.. ) .

Lots of info on it and easy to find. I must say, somewhat cynically of course, that this is good for business. One must compliment the deep thinkers in our government who, during the middle of perhaps one of the greatest health crisis's our country has faced, have decided to double down and make pot legal.
