Manual Trunk Release - Cab
#1

Went to get in the trunk this morning and.... Rats! Dead battery. I thought I read somewhere on here of a way to pop the trunk, but a search turns up nothing. I have several bottles of wine that need to come in from the cold (30s and below around here for the next few days). I thought someone had said there is a way to access the release cable from the plastic vent on the drivers side doorjamb, but I can't figure out how to pop it off with out cracking it.

yes - remove the plastic vent plate in the doorjam of the left door - there is a cable behind that

to pop it off you need to find the "button" tab thingy on the plate and pull up - it's somewhat fickle, but it will come out
