Manual Trans Flywheel Lock for loan
#1

I have a 968 Manual Trans Flywheel lock that I can make available for loan to members. I would expect this tool to be limited to a 2 week loan. A deposit to cover round trip shipping, and replacement in the event of failure to return, would be required.

At this time, round trip shipping cost is about $25 to the East Coast, a bit less if you are closer. We could calculate that at the time of loan. This amount would be non-refundable.

Replacement is $65 plus CA sales tax and shipping. This would likely be a total of $75. This amount would be refundable.

PayPal fees on my account are 3.4% of the transaction. This amount would be non-refundable.

So, a $103 deposit would have to be made via PayPal to sales@design1racing.com

Contact me at sales@design1racing.com to make arrangements.

I realize that the shipping and such brings the cost to about half that of buying one. Should you choose to buy one instead, purchase can be made here:

Awesome. I am in God's country of Southern Maryland. Can I get you to mail it to me? I will cover postage. Do you have a simplified version of the Cam timing?

You mean the process? Was the motor apart or you're just doing a belt job?

I found this car in a junk yard. It appears to have been a T/B fail. Owner hire the mech. at the yard to redo. Head was reworked, valves guides, etc. Mech got stuck on vario cam and car sat for 6-7 years. I took it back down cleaned all, new head gasket, hardaware, vario pads, chain, belts, seals, rollers, etc reinstalled all, set cams to correct positions in conjunction with TDC. Installed timing belt with TDC and Cam at marks. Balance shafts set to marks with correct indicators on top and bottom gears. Now I have to tension balance belt and fine tune cam timing with the air pressure adapter for the vario cam.
