I am glad sometimes that I live in Bugtussel. This is a bit goofy. The end of the first post summed it up well - I believe that Jim was going for a beer. To the others - go get one too. And forget about Rennlist, forums.net and all the others while you are having it. We got it all here baby.

Hi Trevor,
Happy Birthday! You sure are spunky for 103!
While I will graciously accept your mantle of the "most disgusting personal attack I've ever seen on a Porsche technical forum" (I'd like to thank g_d, and my mother), please don't forget the context in which I issued my little diatribe. I had never previously posted on RL. Look at the fact that my post was #44, with no moderator in site. That it was only #44 on that one particular thread. Look at the rest of that week, in which, the primary instigators (and their legion of evildoers) of this battle (not Bob and not Pete and not me) dredged up threads as old as 6 years to rekindle the fires (they are soooo good at attacking people who can't defend themselves publicly, thus my kicking puppies comment. Anyone remember the unfortunate 968 accident that had nothing to do with us and they still didn't step in and stop the bloodshed?). All of this in a backdrop of my going beyond the bounds of trust and peace within the group by helping Boost Feen post his car for sale on this forum, at the same time he was taking swipes at us on the RL. Do you really wonder at how I reached my limit?
I mean this sincerely. I have always taken the high ground. I could let this thing go away today, but I am sick and tired of turning the other cheek. Tell your buddies; who have never sponsored an event, who have never produced a product, who have never solved a problem and published the results, that they will reap what they sow. If they want to trade blows, they better have strong armor because my patience is worn out. I can gather a line of people who have endured their mischief and those people are ready to step forward with me. If you think I over-reacted to their little ForumsNazi comment, just imagine how that will be received by the board of directors of IB (including the one's named Goodstein, Rosenblum and Friedman), who I'm certain will not be happy about their forums using this type of terminology as a "conventional" swipe.
There are so many good people who don't have a dog in this fight that it pains me to drag this up all over again. I apologize to you for turning this oasis into a swamp, I swear, I tried to avoid it at all costs.
You are not banned; your post will not be deleted. Have a nice day, my birthday is Tuesday so my fellow Pisces, chill out and enjoy the view from 968forums.
Regards,
Jay

I think sponsoring at Rennlist would be a great idea and would put a lot of things to rest over there. I'd be happy to kick on the first months sponsorship.

I guess I need to apologize to some of you. One reason that forum is now under strict moderation is my complaints about several posts and posters over there on both sides of the lamentable 968 community split. Yeah, I've been around all of these forums for awhile myself and too be honest I'm sick of it. My wife (a 968 owner/driver) says this is all too much like a bunch of 7th graders and she is right. There is plenty of blame to go around including some of my stuff back in the 968.net days, although I try to be an equal opportunity offender. I doubt I am the reason for the latest sticky however I might be responsible for the sticky comparing it to the rennlist 944 turbo forum. While I don't post much either place any longer I do check them both regularly and read any thread that looks like it may be of interest as well reading at other sites.
