IT'S DETAIL DAY TIME AGAIN
#1

alrighty then - all settled in now, and time to think about throwing another detail day here in socal - the last one was great, and this one should be even better - i have more space, better light, and a bit more time to work this out

spring is just around the corner and our babies need to look their best

i'm looking at saturday march 17th, starting about 9am - my better half is out of town, so i am free to drink all the beer i want

once again i plan to have the paintless dent removal guy here (already spoken to him and he's agreed to give us a break on the work) - i can also arrange to have the wheel repair guy here - i do need to get an idea of how many guys need their services though

so, time to break out the buffers and get to it - i'll have everyting here - it'll help if you just give her a bath before you arrive, but i can hook you up with the stuff for that too

whatdayathink?

email me so i can get a head count, and give you directions and such

Dam It! Why do you have to live in the wrong part of the country?

That sounds like a great time.

Wait a minute...shouldn't every day be detail day? Just finished the 944...968 is next. Garage is heated though.

Here's what's left over of 4 inches of "ice pellets" earlier this week here in Northern VA. Oh to be on the west coast...hoist one for me!

i think we had a half dozen cars last time - this time i have more room, and am set up to the extent that i think we can do 3 cars at once - we should be able to get 8 or 10 completely detailed through the course of the day

DAMN, I really need that paintless dent guy. I've got like 10 little dings in my car. And it could really use a polish and fresh coat of wax. But I will be out of town this weekend, and unable to attend. I will be drinking though!

I should just pay one of those guys to come to the house. It would be nice to know that they have experience with our cars.

Have a good time, take pics

I was soooo close to being able to drive down for this. And wouldn't you know it... friggin' WORK gets in the way again and spoils the fun.

But I'll be there in spirit, and planning to drink a few spirits as well dealing with the work nonsense while you guys are having a blast

HAVE FUN !!!

If Bob provided great "hopitality", there must have lots of good beer.

Someday we'll have one of these on the east coast - or I'll pull a "Flash" and take my car to the west coast.

Glad it worked out.

Well, what can I say! It took Bob 18 months to get me to come to one of these events, and now I can't wait until the next one!!

Awesome day, the best people, and Bob's garage is just out of this world! I felt like I was rolling into a McLaren pistop at the Nurburgring! Oh, and your hospitality wasn't bad either

The brace has definately made the car feel 'tighter' when turning, especially when changing lanes fast! It just feels more sure of itself. I guess the 'roll' is more down to the suspension and the makeup of the car, but I'm not really sure I mind that. I once drove my mates Boxster 2000 and it felt too 'rigid'. Maybe that's just me

The airbox mod I can feel, but not as much. The sound is definately better, and I'm sure some of the 'raspiness' will go after I install the rings. Today I'm also going to reinstall the cars plastic undertray (not sure what it's called), beneath the front bumper. I took it off because it kept getting caught on the concrete blocks every time I parked the car, but I guess I'll just have to get used to parking in reverse! I'm thinking this will help 'funnel' the air a little bit better into the airbox and hence I may get more of a benefit from the mod. What does everyone think?

All-in-all I would say I'm now ready for my next mod. Now let me see....
