Yup, the humidity is what gets you. Where I grew up in South Africa, it regularly goes up to 100, but because the humidity was quite low it was bearable. Here in the netherlands there's a canal every 2 meters and as soon as the sun breaks free all that water gets soaked up into the atmosphere. It is not uncommon to see 90% humidity here. We are just lucky that this time the humidity is still below 50.

I did 250 km on the Nürburgring today. Without A/C @ 35°C. Was hot!

Anything above 75 (F) is too hot for me. That aside, if it was b/w 80-95 I'd rather it be dry heat but after about 100 it doesn't much matter if it's dry or humid, it's all intolerable. I recall being in Arizona and in Palm Springs at 110-ish, and also in Miami once when it got unusually hot around 105 or so..and VERY humid. Felt as if I was in a rainforest, and somehow I prefer that ( notwithstanding having to change the clothes every 15 min.. ) to 110 of dry heat.

'Monstrous4Banger. You don't realize how much of a blessing humidity is... The humidity actually cools things off People just dont like to sweat. Personally, Id rather sweat, and cool, than the sweat dry before it beads fully. People get bloody noses for a while when they first move here its so dry. Mucous membranes dry out, and crack.

Tough call for me. Having experienced this high humidity along with 100+ degree temps for a couple of weeks now. I'm thinking Dry is better. Didn't know about the nose bleeds. Really highlights how dangerous the heat is to our bodies. But we've had code red air quality for the past few weeks. I'm guessing its even harder to breath in this humidity. Not to mention the fast rate that your body is dumping out water. You dehydrate so quickly. Heat related deaths are rising as we continue to break record highs set way back in the 1940's

But guess what? We had rain yesterday. Man did it feel good.
