I found myself taken back by the style and bold colors of this AMC Pacer. Isn't it kinda cool? Even though it was an economy car it looks well built and has a certain exclusive flare to it. Maybe its just the chrome giving it that appeal. I dunno but I like it.

OK, I think you rushed to that conclusion Bob. Take your time and admire the details and craftsmanship. Wouldn't it be cool to drive one of those today?

I must confess I do like the 'Pasha' interior option (checkerboard fabric in the seat centers and door panels) in 928's. Plaid isn't too far off of that.

Were your pics shot at the Tour de Lemons? I think I might check that out this year.

I especially like the satin finish on the hood! [Image: laugh.gif]

Oh man, matching picnic basket. I need to use that one on my buddy who just bought a Boxster. I've been calling it a "great hairdresser's car", but now I need to use that one!

How well do you know your Pacers?

Did you know.....

That the doors on a Pacer have different lengths? The passenger side door is longer. The idea behind it was to encourage passengers sitting in the back to exit on the safer passenger side of the car.

No kidding!!!! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

And you thought I only knew 968s!

Had nothing to do with safety, it was so they can exit as fast as they possibly could before they're seen by friends, etc. riding in that thing <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
